Das XI/ON-Standard-E/A-System fügt dem XI/ON-E/A-System kosten- und platzoptimierte E/A-Module und Gateways hinzu. Die ECO-Module benötigen keine Basismodule und sind voll kompatibel mit dem standardmäßigen XI/ON-System. Hohe Kanaldichte (bis zu 16 DI/DO bei 13 mm), Push-In-Federzugklemmen, 8 oder 16 Kanäle pro Modul. Die ECO-Gateways unterstützen die CANopen-Bussysteme Profibus DP und Ethernet.
