It prevents the spread of toxic gases, smoke, and fire, providing valuable time for building evacuation. Construction and Materials The FDS-3G fire damper features a housing made of galvanized sheet steel. The damper blade is constructed from abrasion-resistant, asbestos-free calcium silicate, equipped with a rubber seal and a intumescent seal that expands in case of fire. The short installation length of 325 or 350 mm contributes to its efficient design. The product complies with European product standard EN 15650, is fire performance tested according to EN 1366-2, and classified according to EN 13501-3.
